Offense should thrive in Rams-Bucs clash

If you're a fan of high-flying prolific offenses which lights up like a Christmas tree score, you might not want to tune the Los Angeles Rams, who visit Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday. Points will be at a premium when these two NFC rivals clash in the Florida heat. The Rams have scored a touchdown all season and has a total of nine points in two games.

At least the pirates have started the year off right as they looked like Jon Gruden-coached team in Week 1, putting up 31 points in the main NFC South win over the Atlanta Falcons. Then quarterback Jameis Winston and his squad faced a buzz-saw, the Arizona Cardinals and got beat 40-7. Winston threw four interceptions.

"It's humiliating League. We got beat up all over the field. Hats off to the Cardinals on a job well done. I did a pretty good job getting these guys ready to go. We turned it over way too many times," said Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter.

Tampa Bay coach acknowledged the offense was not clicking, particularly Winston and wide receiver Vincent Jackson. In the first two weeks, Jackson only has six catches of 62 yards over the target 17 times. And now starting running back Doug Martin could be out for an extended period of time with a hamstring injury. Martin's loss puts even greater emphasis to the passing attack by pirates seeking the right chemistry.

Both teams are 1-1 or more organizations come to their heads to 3rd Week 2016 NFL season identity. The Rams are crucial questions for the position of quarterback, although coach Jeff Fisher will not admit them.

"Well, he (Rams starting quarterback Case Keenum) back. He had a good week, he came back and made plays. That's a tough defense to attack and throw against the proposal. You know, we had some drops, however, but put the ball where it was need to put the last game (wide receiver) Kenny (Britt) was a great throw. - great expectations, great throw, "Fisher said his embattled starter. Media and fans were adamant about Rams starting with 2016 No. 1 overall draft pick Jared Goff from Los Angeles not scored a touchdown this season.

"Everyone knows that this game would be worried about not scoring touchdown, now come on. I do not mean to be disrespectful, but we need to score some touchdowns. But I'll take this victory, victory, and then some. So if we take something away from this week that's what we do. we have to keep working on it somehow somehow, whether it's special teams or defense, but take the landing next week. it would be cool, "said Fisher as the team faced pirates in the 3rd week.

Fisher may get his wish. Pirates defense, which was not very good under fired coach Lovie Smith, who fought in 2016 as well. Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars got just as many points (64).

Both teams could be the cure for the ills of others. Lack of offense by the Rams could help the Buccaneers defense, or vice versa. Los Angeles lackluster offensive unit could find solace in the attack substandard Tampa Bay defensive group.

It then leaves the game primarily in the hands of pirates, of whom an offense against which the Rams defense shows. Los Angeles, led by middle linebacker Alec Ogletree and defensive end Robert Quinn, who held the Seattle Seahawks to a field goal in their victory in Week 2 at home. It was after leaving 28 points on the San Francisco 49ers in the loss of the week first

Buccaneers offense installed coach Dirk Koetter flew high in Week 1, in which the crime was featured 371 yards clean. Quarterback Jameis Winston threw for four touchdowns. The offensive line gave up zero sacks versus the Falcons. On the road in Arizona for Week 2, Tampa Bay was closed in the first half, Winston threw four interception and the offensive line gave up three sacks.

Koetter said, "I expect and want to see the fantastic resilience. If you just look around the league, that's how the NFL is. The Cardinals had a disappointing loss, and they came back and got after us pretty well yesterday.

"Look at the Rams, who play this week. The Rams lost 28-0 in their opener 49ers come back with a huge win against Seattle. The Falcons, who we beat last week, going on the road to the robbers who were a hot team and play so good to get a win on the road. "

As both head coaches preached this week, whichever Buccaneers and Rams team proves determine the outcome of the NFC showdown.
