The delay due to lightning in the 37-32 victory on Sunday came at a critical time.

Kwon Alexander returned an interception for a touchdown in the first quarter, but remained Keenum asked and did not commit another turnover.

Tavon Austin needs to exercise better judgment

The Buccaneers pulled within five points with just over two minutes.

Instead of letting the rebound ensuing kickoff through the end zone, which would have given the Rams the ball at the 25 yard line, Austin caught at one and the Buccaneers approached him at six .

Gurley ran for three yards, but Keenum stumbled and lost four. This put the Rams in a third and 11-position five.

Punter Johnny Hekker finally helped erase the mistake of Austin booming a punt 64 yards that forced Tampa Bay to begin his final drive at its 44.

The defensive line has depth

Quinn also ran down Winston that the time to preserve the win.

Tackle Aaron Donald deflected two passes.

Hekker averaged 51.2 yards for his five kicks and put two inside the 20.

He forced the Buccaneers to begin a possession to the line eight yards. Tampa Bay has three and out and the Rams came back with a drive that Zuerlein ended with a field goal.

With Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald and company to come next to Arizona, the Rams need cornerback E. J. Gaines to return from injury.
